Board of Directors

The Children's Aid Society of the County of Lanark and The Town of Smiths Falls is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and funded by the Government of Ontario. The Board has the authority to govern the affairs of the society within the relevant legislation and standards and is accountable to the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. Additionally, the Board is given the responsibility for the achievement of the organization’s Mission and strategic direction.

The Board establishes committees to carry out its responsibilities. The following are standing committees:

• Executive Committee
• Program Committee
• Finance and Personnel Committee
• Public Education Committee
• Together For Kids Committee (Fundraising)

All of our board members:

• Live or work in the County of Lanark or The Town of Smiths Falls
• Have an interest in children and quality children's services
• Support the Vision, Mission and Values of Lanark CAS
• Are interested in advocating for the needs of children
